I should start as I mean to continue, with a few rooms by one of my interiors heroes, Ms Dorothy Draper. I love how she uses colour, and how she creates such an instantly recognisable tableau. One of her most famous creations was the Greenbrier hotel in West Virginia, where she employed her fastidious eye and incredible sense of colour to create something completely unique.
All of a sudden, I’ve developed a lust for really pale pink, particularly on walls. I love this Dulux colour, Pink Clay Half.
It looks brilliant with anything. Everyone seems to be doing pale pink and grey, but think outside the square a little – bold yellows, turquoise shades, pastel greens, jungle green, and metallics. Lots of metallics. Here’s a little inspiration…
